Capitolis has appointed Murugan Manickam as Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. Manickam, who spent 17 years at Bank of America, will lead the financial technology company’s global engineering organization and oversee its data and artificial intelligence strategy. He reports to Okan Pekin, President of Capitolis, and will drive technology innovation to support the company’s expansion in capital markets solutions.

- Expertise Areas: Fixed income, currencies, commodities (FICC), trade management, post-trade platforms, regulatory technology, and AI development
- Earlier Experience: Technology leadership roles at Merrill Lynch and General Reinsurance
At Bank of America, Manickam led large-scale digital transformation initiatives across multiple asset classes and markets. His accomplishments included modernizing trading infrastructure, consolidating legacy platforms, and advancing distributed ledger technology adoption alongside AI-driven automation. His appointment comes as Capitolis reports record business results and expands its client network with new product launches.

Amos Arev, Head of Engineering and General Manager for Israel, remains with Capitolis. Pekin acknowledged Arev’s contributions in building the company’s engineering organization and technology strategy over the past seven years. Manickam stated that he is excited to advance Capitolis’ technology platform to deliver AI-driven solutions for financial institutions and the broader financial ecosystem.
