Equinix, the global digital infrastructure operator, appointed DD Dasgupta as Chief Marketing Officer on September 10, 2026. Dasgupta, who joined the Redwood City-based company in 2024 as Vice President of Product and Solution Marketing, brings more than 25 years of experience across digital infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security sectors. He will report to Equinix Chief Customer and Revenue Officer Shane Paladin.
- Prior role: VP, Product and Solution Marketing at Equinix since 2024
- Previous experience: Product management and marketing lead for Cisco’s data center portfolio
- Industry background: Founded CMO role at Avi Networks, which was acquired by VMware; held positions at Juniper Networks, HP, and Nortel Networks
- Education: Computer Science degree and MBA from Santa Clara University
Paladin highlighted Dasgupta’s deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure modernization during the artificial intelligence era. “DD has extensive background in infrastructure and networking at a time when customers are navigating the significant shifts needed for the era of AI inference,” Paladin said, noting that Equinix‘s position as a neutral exchange positions it uniquely to support customer transformation.

His mandate will focus on advancing Equinix‘s market positioning as enterprises accelerate AI deployments and expand connections across multiple cloud providers and geographic locations. Equinix operates a global data center footprint and interconnected ecosystem supporting digital infrastructure and AI services across multiple regions.
