PU Prime, a global multi-licensed online brokerage, won the Best Trading Education Experience award at FX Expo Medellín 2026, held October 23-24 at Centro de Eventos El Tesoro in Colombia. The recognition underscores the company’s focus on elevating trader education standards across Latin America, where the firm positioned itself as an advocate for informed participation and risk management over technological convenience.

  • Event: FX Expo Medellín 2026, October 23-24
  • Award: Best Trading Education Experience
  • Founded: 2015
  • Global Reach: Over 100 countries, 40+ million app downloads

At the expo, Alexis Jorge, Partnerships Manager, joined a panel discussion on the region’s trading outlook. Jorge argued that access to advanced tools and real-time information does not automatically produce better trading outcomes. Instead, he urged traders to build foundational competencies, managing risk and leverage, thinking analytically, and maintaining discipline, before deploying capital. He stressed that understanding how technology functions matters far more than simply adopting the latest tools.

In the AI era, access to advanced tools and real-time information does not automatically lead to better understanding. Rather than simply relying on the latest technology, traders should focus on understanding how these tools work and how to use them effectively.

Michel Cohen, also a Partnerships Manager, delivered a separate presentation titled “The Trader’s University: What Should a Trader Really Learn?” Cohen argued that brokers and education partners should prioritize informed participation and continuous learning rather than treating account opening as a transaction endpoint. He advocated for education to begin before account creation, ensuring prospective traders understand market mechanics and associated risks before committing funds. Cohen outlined a role for trading communities in aligning expectations and helping individuals assess their readiness for live trading.

Brokers and partners should build relationships around informed participation and continued learning, not treat account opening as the end goal.

The two presentations reinforced a unified message: foundational trader competencies must precede market participation. PU Prime offered booth activities, educational conversations, and giveaways, including merchandise from its partnership with the Argentine Football Association, to engage attendees. Founded in 2015, the firm operates as a regulated CFD broker across forex, commodities, indices, shares, and bonds in over 100 countries.
