Interactive Brokers (Nasdaq: IBKR) rolled out cryptocurrency staking on October 13, 2026, enabling eligible clients to earn rewards on supported digital assets through its unified trading platform. The staking service, provided by zerohash, launches with Ethereum as the first supported asset and allows clients to monitor positions and manage rewards directly through the Interactive Brokers Client Portal.

  • Launch Date: October 13, 2026
  • Initial Asset: Ethereum
  • Crypto Commission: 0.12% to 0.18% of trade value with a USD 1.75 minimum per order
  • Supported Digital Assets: 20 assets including Bitcoin, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, and Dogecoin
  • Cost Advantage: Up to 85% less than competitors with no spreads, markups, or custody fees

Similar to how our Stock Yield Enhancement Program allows clients to earn additional income on shares they own, staking gives clients an opportunity to earn rewards on the cryptocurrency they own. We want clients to earn more from the assets they hold.

– Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers

Staking rewards compound automatically as additional cryptocurrency while positions remain staked. The move extends Interactive Brokers‘ existing crypto capabilities, which include support for 20 digital assets, stablecoin funding via USDC, RLUSD, and PYUSD, and full transfer flexibility to custodial and non-custodial wallets. Clients can manage crypto holdings alongside stocks, options, futures, bonds, and other assets on a single platform without switching between applications.
