The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), France’s financial regulator, has added 64 unauthorized cryptocurrency platforms to its blacklist since the beginning of 2026, the agency announced following its third-quarter review. The crackdown targets websites operating illegally in France by offering crypto-assets or related services without proper authorization.

  • Action scope: 64 unauthorized websites added to blacklist since January 2026
  • Review period: Third quarter 2026
  • Verification tool: White list of authorized crypto-asset service providers (CASP) available on AMF website

The AMF maintains a regularly updated blacklist accessible through its official website under the “Warnings” and “Blacklists” sections, as well as through the Assurance Banque Épargne Infoservice (ABEIS) platform. The regulator stressed that the list does not claim to be exhaustive, as new unauthorized actors continue to emerge in the crypto sector.

Consumers wishing to verify whether a crypto-asset service provider is authorized to operate in France can consult the official whitelist of certified crypto-asset service providers on the AMF website. The regulator also operates a dedicated consumer protection portal, AMF Protect Epargne, offering additional resources for identifying fraudulent schemes. For inquiries, the AMF can be reached via its website at amf-france.org or by telephone at +33 (0)1 5345 6200 during business hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers operates as an independent French public authority responsible for protecting savings in financial products, ensuring transparent investor information, and maintaining market stability through regulatory oversight and enforcement action against misconduct.
