Transaction Network Services (TNS) has appointed Michael Johnson as Global Managing Director for its Payments Market business, effective immediately. In the role, Johnson will lead strategy and growth initiatives across TNS’s global payments portfolio while collaborating with senior regional management and corporate leadership. The appointment underscores TNS’s push to expand its payments and connectivity infrastructure amid rising demand for secure, scalable transaction solutions.

Johnson’s appointment reflects his deep knowledge of TNS’s payments infrastructure and established relationships across the company’s global operations. Before joining TNS, he spent 15 years at First Data Australia and New Zealand, where he rose to Vice President of Global Service Delivery. He has also served as CEO of PAX Technology Australia and began his career as a Project Manager at Centrica Telecommunications in London.
