TradingView has rolled out an update to its Screener chart view feature, adding moving average indicators and expanded flexibility across multiple asset classes. The enhancement allows traders to overlay technical analysis indicators on mini charts within the Stock, ETF, Crypto Coins, and cryptocurrency pairs screeners, providing immediate visual context for price movements relative to established trends.

  • Available Indicators: SMA 50, SMA 200, EMA 50, EMA 200, and Volume
  • Default Settings: SMA 50, SMA 200, and Volume enabled by default; EMA options off until activated
  • Supported Platforms: Standalone Screener, right sidebar, mobile web, and desktop apps
  • Volume Availability: Free on all plans; moving averages require a paid subscription

The feature streamlines technical analysis by applying selected indicators uniformly across all displayed charts simultaneously, eliminating the need to configure each symbol individually. Moving averages are rendered above price data while volume displays as bars below, using the same calculations as TradingView’s built-in Superchart indicators. Indicator selections persist across filter changes, view toggles, and saved screens, while recalculating automatically when timeframes shift or new market data arrives.

The Bond Screener remains unchanged and does not support this new indicator functionality. TradingView stated the current release focuses on rapid visual analysis, with the company signaling openness to expanding indicator options and customization settings based on user feedback. Custom indicator combinations cannot yet be saved, representing a limitation for traders seeking to retain multiple preset configurations.

TradingView provides market analysis and charting tools across equities, currencies, and cryptocurrency markets globally.
