Virtu Financial and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) have launched POSIT, an electronic block-trading indications network for equity securities listed on ADX, the companies announced on September 8, 2026. The platform enables ADX members and institutional clients to execute large transactions with minimal market impact through Virtu’s established global liquidity network. Arqaam Capital provides connectivity, brokerage, and post-trade services for non-direct ADX members, with all trades settling on a T+2 basis through the Abu Dhabi Central Securities Depository.

  • Platform: POSIT block-trading indications network
  • Settlement Cycle: T+2 basis
  • Depository: Abu Dhabi Central Securities Depository
  • Regional Partner: Arqaam Capital

The launch represents the first phase of POSIT’s expansion into Middle Eastern and North African equity markets and follows recent enhancements to ADX’s Negotiated Block Trade facility. Virtu Financial is the first firm to utilize the upgraded facility for electronic block trades sourced through POSIT. The platform allows institutional investors to access new liquidity opportunities in ADX-listed securities while preserving price discovery integrity on the public order book.

By welcoming Virtu’s POSIT technology to ADX, we provide institutions seeking large trades direct access to new liquidity opportunities in our market. This partnership is part of our ongoing commitment toward building a world-class globally connected market for investors and issuers.

– Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of the ADX Group
