The company’s profit before tax climbed to £43.2 million, a modest 2.3% increase from £42.2 million the previous year.

The filing coincides with ongoing regulatory scrutiny. The Competition and Markets Authority opened an investigation in December 2023 into whether Spreadex’s acquisition of Sporting Index Limited reduced competition in the UK licensed sports spread-betting market. A final report is expected in September 2025. The company has reserved the right to appeal to the Competition Appeal Tribunal if remedies are imposed.

Spreadex increased its workforce by 9 employees on average and raised the dividend payout significantly to £25.5 million, representing a 61% increase from the prior year. The company continues to invest in marketing, branding and technology infrastructure to support future growth across its sports betting and financial derivatives offerings.
