Pepperstone Limited, the UK-regulated forex and CFD broker, reported profit after tax of £9.9 million for the financial year ended June 30, 2024, a slight decline from £10 million in the prior year, according to accounts filed with Companies House.

Trading revenue remained largely flat at £13 million, down marginally from £13.9 million in fiscal 2023, representing a 6.3% year-over-year decrease. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia-based FX MidCo Pty Ltd, generates income through commissions, swaps and spreads on CFD and spread-betting products.

Operating profit before tax reached £13.3 million, up 5% from £12.6 million in the previous year. The company benefited from other income of £13.2 million, primarily consisting of transfer pricing income from affiliated group entities, up from £10.6 million in fiscal 2023.

Client funds held in segregated accounts totaled £27 million as of June 30, 2024, compared with £25.2 million a year earlier, reflecting a 7% increase in customer deposits.

The FCA-authorized broker paid dividends of £6.3 million during the year after paying none in fiscal 2023. Total shareholders’ funds increased to £21 million from £17.3 million.

Employee headcount rose to an average of 28 staff from 27 in the prior year, with total employee expenses increasing to £3.8 million from £2.8 million. The company launched 212 new trading symbols during the period, expanding its product offerings to more than 1,400 instruments.
