NinjaTrader Group, through its subsidiaries NinjaTrader and Tradovate, introduced a mobile trading platform on September 19, 2022, designed specifically for CME Group‘s newly launched event contracts. The offering enables retail investors to predict daily closing prices across major financial and commodities markets with minimal capital requirements and predefined risk parameters.

  • Investment Range: $0.25 to $20 per contract
  • Maximum Payout: $20 per successful trade
  • Available Indices: E-mini S&P 500, E-mini Nasdaq 100, E-mini Russell 2000, E-mini Dow, plus metals, energy, and currency contracts
  • Contract Duration: Daily expiration
  • Year-to-Date Volume: 75 million futures contracts traded across combined entity

The event contracts represent a simplified entry point for retail traders, allowing participants to select a market and bet whether closing prices will surpass predetermined levels. Traders access the product through mobile or web-based interfaces, with results available immediately at market close. Risk exposure is capped at the initial investment amount, eliminating the possibility of losses exceeding the committed capital.

We’re confident in the mass market appeal of these new and innovative products, which offer a straightforward and affordable way to access dynamic financial markets. We have built a unique and intuitive mobile and web client experience that is fully consistent with the event contracts product design.

NinjaTrader Group CEO Martin Franchi emphasized the platform’s accessibility, noting it represents the first in a series of products designed to expand futures market access. CME Group‘s Tim McCourt, Global Head of Equity and FX Products, highlighted the contracts as a cost-effective tool for retail exposure to benchmark products across multiple asset classes. The development follows NinjaTrader Group’s acquisition of Tradovate Holdings, which has strengthened its position serving active retail traders with cloud-based, commission-free trading infrastructure.
