LMAX Global has launched Weekend FX trading, enabling clients to trade foreign exchange instruments across all seven days of the week. The service allows market participants to capitalize on FX movements during weekends or hedge currency exposure when traditional markets are closed, eliminating the need to wait for Sunday night market open.

  • Availability: LMAX Global UK clients only; separate independently funded account required
  • Account Structure: Weekend FX and existing accounts remain independent with no position or margin offset
  • Connectivity Options: Cross connect at Equinix LD6 and internet access
  • Platform Access: LMAX GUI, mobile, API (Java/.Net), FIX 4.2/4.4, ITCH market data
  • Fund Transfers: Realised profits and losses transferable to existing LMAX Global account on request

The Weekend FX service requires clients to open a new dedicated account, which operates independently from existing LMAX Global accounts. Positions and margin requirements on the Weekend FX account do not offset or combine with primary accounts, maintaining separate risk management frameworks for each trading environment.

LMAX Global provides multiple connectivity and access channels for Weekend FX participants. Traders can connect via cross connect at Equinix LD6 or standard internet connectivity, with support for the LMAX GUI platform, mobile trading, APIs in Java and .Net, FIX protocol versions 4.2 and 4.4, and ITCH market data feeds.

LMAX Global operates as a multilateral trading facility and prime brokerage service provider for institutional and professional traders across foreign exchange and derivatives markets.
