CONSOB, Italy’s financial markets regulator, has ordered the blocking of five websites operating unauthorized investment services and financial instrument activities as of October 1, 2026. The action targets platforms operating under the names Daxton-Italia, Inmarket24, ICloudFX, and Ambrosiafx, bringing the total number of blocked websites to 1,834 since the authority gained blocking powers in July 2019.

  • Blocked platforms: Daxton-Italia, Inmarket24, ICloudFX, Ambrosiafx
  • Total websites blocked since July 2019: 1,834
  • Crypto-asset-related blocks: 235
  • Implementation timeline: Several days for Internet service providers to enforce blocks

CONSOB emphasized that savers must exercise heightened diligence when evaluating investment opportunities. The regulator advised investors to verify that operators are properly authorized and that published prospectuses or white papers accompany financial product and crypto-asset offerings. Internet service providers operating in Italy are currently implementing the website blocks, though technical delays may extend enforcement by several days.

The regulator warned of increasingly sophisticated fraud tactics leveraging digital channels. CONSOB flagged emerging threats including cloned websites, fabricated social media profiles impersonating politicians and celebrities, and synthetic media, artificial intelligence-generated images, voices, and videos, designed to manipulate investment decisions. The authority has published a dedicated information sheet addressing fraud protection in the artificial intelligence era and maintains a “Watch out for scams!” section on its website offering guidance against fraudulent schemes.

CONSOB is Italy’s national commission for listed companies and the stock exchange, responsible for regulating securities markets and protecting investors from unauthorized financial activities.
