CONSOB, Italy’s financial markets authority, has ordered the blocking of four websites operating unauthorised investment services on 9 October 2026. The action targets platforms offering financial instruments and services without proper regulatory approval, expanding the regulator’s enforcement efforts against online financial fraud.

  • Websites Blocked: Goldgcapital, Tradoxium, FXPepper, Money-Mentor.io
  • Total Blocked Since July 2019: 1,838 websites
  • Crypto-Related Blocks: 235 of the 1,838 total

The blocked platforms include Goldgcapital (https://goldgcapital.net), Tradoxium (https://tradoxiumpro.com), FXPepper (https://fxpepper.eu), and Money-Mentor.io (https://money-mentor.io), along with associated client portals and trading interfaces. Internet service providers in Italy are currently implementing technical measures to restrict access, though CONSOB notes that full blocking may require several days to take effect across all networks.

CONSOB emphasised the need for retail investors to conduct thorough due diligence before engaging with investment platforms. The regulator recommends verifying operator authorisation status and confirming that financial product offerings include published prospectuses or whitepapers. The authority warned of increasingly sophisticated fraud tactics, including cloned websites, fabricated profiles impersonating public figures, and synthetic media, images, voices, and videos generated by artificial intelligence systems, designed to manipulate investment decisions and harvest personal data.

The blocking authority was granted to CONSOB in July 2019 as part of enhanced consumer protection measures. The regulator maintains a dedicated “Watch out for scams!” section on its website offering guidance on identifying fraudulent schemes and an information sheet addressing financial fraud risks in the age of artificial intelligence.
