Checkout.com, a global digital payments company, announced 126% year-over-year payment volume growth in the US during Q2 2026, with processing volumes on track to exceed $100 billion by year-end. - Q2 2026 US Growth: 126% year-over-year increase
- Projected 2026 Processing Volume: Over $100 billion
- Regional Hubs: San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, and a new Mexico location
- Key Clients: Uber, Spotify, Microsoft, eBay, Coinbase, Pinterest, and Best Buy
Checkout.com attributed its expansion to investment in local infrastructure and focus on enterprise fundamentals including acceptance rates, reliability, latency, and fraud prevention. The company became one of only three firms processing payments through a Merchant Acquirer Limited Purpose Bank in the US, enabling direct card network access and optimized payment performance. Zack Levine, Head of North America, stated that deeper merchant relationships and expanded wallet share drove the momentum.
The payments platform introduced four major product enhancements targeting North American merchants. A new marketplace and SaaS platform solution provides visibility into payment performance and embedded monetization capabilities without PayFac complexity. The direct acquiring offering enables faster onboarding and stronger payment control, while expanded payouts services now include RTP and ACH in the US alongside new Pay-to-Card functionality in Canada. Checkout.com will also roll out card issuing in the US, allowing merchants to issue physical and virtual cards connected to unified acquiring and business accounts.
Our goal is to give merchants more control over their payments and make every part of the money movement lifecycle work harder for their business. Direct acquiring in the US gives us more control over payment performance and product innovation.
Meron Colbeci, Chief Product Officer, emphasized the strategic positioning around platform-specific needs and integrated payment capabilities. Checkout.com processes payments for major global brands and operates as a leading digital payments infrastructure provider serving enterprise merchants internationally.
