BHM Capital Financial Services, a UAE-regulated financial institution, has launched market-making operations on the Astana International Exchange (AIX) in Kazakhstan, marking the first time a UAE financial firm has operated as a Market Making Member through the Tabadul digital connectivity platform. The expansion was celebrated through a joint virtual bell-ringing ceremony between the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and AIX on September 16, 2026, highlighting deepening cross-border capital market ties between the two nations.

  • Platform: Tabadul digital connectivity platform
  • Exchange: Astana International Exchange (AIX)
  • Initial securities: National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC ordinary shares and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs)
  • Regulator: UAE Capital Market Authority (CMA)

Through its market-making activities, BHM Capital will provide liquidity for trading in Kazatomprom securities, supporting market efficiency and trading activity on the Kazakhstan exchange. The move represents an expansion of the firm’s capabilities beyond cross-border market access toward active participation in regional capital markets, strengthening the connectivity between UAE and Kazakhstan financial centers.

Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of the ADX Group, stated that the milestone underscores the importance of connectivity in capital markets, enabling institutions to extend expertise across borders and deepen liquidity. Assel Mukazhanova, Chief Executive Officer of AIX, noted that BHM Capital’s participation strengthens market connectivity and brings additional expertise to the exchange, supporting Kazakhstan’s capital market development.

BHM Capital, listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), is building an integrated market-making and liquidity provision network across regional and international markets. The firm is regulated by the UAE Capital Market Authority and provides services to individual and corporate investors across the UAE’s financial sector.
