B2C2, an institutional liquidity provider for digital assets, has appointed Elizabeth Rossiello as Chief Operating Officer to lead group operations and accelerate the firm’s expansion into cross-border payments and stablecoin services. Rossiello brings over a decade of experience building regulated digital asset and payments infrastructure, including founding BitPesa in Nairobi in 2013, which later rebranded as AZA Finance and expanded across the UK, Spain, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Cameroon.
- Cross-border stablecoin growth: Payment volumes increased 64% in 2025
- Total stablecoin payments: Approximately $390 billion in 2025
- AZA Finance client base: 34 of the largest remittance firms and 10 leading payment processors
- B2C2 backing: Majority owned by Japanese financial conglomerate SBI
The appointment signals B2C2‘s strategic pivot toward payments infrastructure as stablecoins gain adoption in global remittances and cross-border settlement. AZA Finance was an early adopter of digital currencies and stablecoins for settling payment flows into Africa, positioning Rossiello to capitalize on emerging opportunities in institutional-grade liquidity provision for payment networks.
The next big shift in digital assets isn’t happening on trading screens, but in payments, where stablecoins are becoming a faster way to move money between markets that traditional banking has struggled to serve. We want to be the liquidity behind global payments, not just global trading.
– Thomas Restout, Group CEO, B2C2
Over the last decade, the digital asset industry has expanded beyond trading to powering payments and treasury settlement. I’ve spent my career building licensed, reliable money movement infrastructure in markets that others thought impossible. At B2C2, I see a significant opportunity to connect payments, trading and investing through reliable, institutional-grade liquidity.
