Liquidnet, a technology-driven agency execution specialist, launched SuperBlock Targeted Invitations (TI) on October 6, 2026, to help institutional traders discover and execute exceptionally large block trades while controlling information distribution. The new liquidity discovery solution extends Liquidnet‘s existing Targeted Invitations capability to SuperBlocks, exceptionally large orders, enabling buy-side traders to share block trading interest with a broader audience while maintaining control over who receives their indication of interest.
- SuperBlock TI launch date: October 6, 2026
- SuperBlock trades since 2024 launch: Over 1,500 globally
- Member savings (Jan 2025–June 2026): 64.5 basis points, totaling $55 million
- Targeted Invitations liquidity unlocked (2025): $3.8 billion with $13.7 million market impact savings
- Liquidnet global membership: Over 1,100 firms across 56 markets
- Daily resting liquidity pool: $110 billion
Every SuperBlock TI trade is backed by a live client order in Liquidnet‘s network, providing confidence in execution opportunities. The tool addresses a key trader demand: sourcing larger blocks with minimal market impact and information leakage. Liquidnet developed SuperBlock TI in partnership with its SuperBlock Advisory Group, composed of senior buy-side traders.
Clients tell us they want higher quality blocks, the SuperBlock initiative has been our response to that. SuperBlock has been hugely successful since launch, meeting increasing demand to efficiently execute large blocks in a trusted, unconflicted environment. SuperBlock TI takes this initiative a step further by redefining how natural block opportunities are surfaced and acted upon. By putting the buy side in control of how interest is distributed, we help protect against information leakage and enable traders to source more actionable liquidity opportunities within our $110bn dark pool.
