Sumsub launched its Reusable KYC Gateway at Token2049 Singapore, enabling users to complete identity verification once and reuse it across a network of regulated partners. MiniPay, a self-custodial stablecoin wallet operating across more than 70 countries with over 20 million wallets opened to date, is the first live integrator of the solution. The platform addresses a persistent friction point in fintech onboarding: repeated KYC submissions across the same ecosystem.

  • Live Integrator: MiniPay
  • Geographic Reach: 70+ countries
  • User Base: 20 million wallets
  • Verification Conversion Improvement: 70% to 95%
  • KYC Completion Time Reduction: Up to 50%
  • Existing Sumsub IDs Available: 15 million

Under the new system, MiniPay users verify their identity once with Sumsub, then access regulated partner services, including on and off-ramps, card issuers, and payment providers, with a single tap. Users retain explicit control over identity sharing and consent to each connection. Critically, MiniPay itself does not collect, store, or handle sensitive identity documents or biometric data; verified identity passes directly from Sumsub ID to each partner. Partners can then complete verification against their own compliance policies without additional user interface screens.

The results have been measurable. Since MiniPay partners adopted the approach, verification conversion rates rose from approximately 70 percent to 95 percent, and KYC completion time fell by up to 50 percent. Eight of MiniPay’s partners already use Sumsub for verification.

Repeated KYC checks across the same ecosystem are inconvenient for everyone, and one in three applicants we see have already verified with us before. Reusable KYC Gateway puts that reuse to work for MiniPay’s users, giving them a single verified identity that works throughout its entire partner network, with full control over what they share and with whom.

– Andrew Novoselsky, Chief Product Officer, Sumsub

Self-custody has always been central to MiniPay. Users hold their own funds, and now they also control their own verified identity. They decide what to share and with whom, and that matters more and more as our partner network expands across new markets.

– Murray Spark, Senior Director of Business Development, Opera

Sumsub said the Reusable KYC Gateway is now available to any non-regulated business connecting users to a network of regulated partners, from non-custodial wallets to decentralized trading platforms, that seeks to reduce onboarding friction without taking on data storage liability.
