BitGo and OKX have expanded their off-exchange settlement partnership internationally, allowing eligible institutions outside the U.S. to access OKX liquidity while keeping assets in custody with BitGo Singapore, which holds a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The expansion builds on an earlier integration launched in April 2026 for U.S. institutions through BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A.
- Supported assets: ADA, BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, USDC, USDT, and XRP
- Custody insurance: Up to $250M coverage for theft, loss, or misuse of keys
- Settlement mechanism: BitGo’s proprietary Go Network infrastructure automates asset movement
- Regulator: Monetary Authority of Singapore
The integration separates custody from execution, allowing institutions to keep assets in regulated storage rather than pre-funding them on the exchange. This model mirrors traditional financial markets, where custody, execution, and settlement operate as distinct functions. Go Network Off-Exchange Settlement automates post-trade settlement, eliminating the need for capital to sit across multiple counterparties.
We believe institutions are increasingly looking to separate where they trade from where they hold their assets. That separation is becoming an important part of how institutions manage counterparty risk and evaluate exchange relationships. Extending Go Network to OKX’s international operations is intended to bring that model to more of our clients globally.

Institutional markets are becoming more open, interoperable and capital-efficient. Institutions should be able to choose where they custody assets and where they execute without sacrificing access to liquidity. Expanding our integration with BitGo internationally is another step toward connecting digital asset markets with the infrastructure and risk standards of global finance.
– Star Xu, Founder and CEO, OKX
The expansion reflects a broader institutional shift toward applying traditional finance market structure principles to digital assets. As crypto markets mature, institutions increasingly demand independent custody options, multi-venue liquidity access, and efficient post-trade settlement. The partnership offers a consistent model across jurisdictions: regulated custody with automated Go Network settlement following execution.
