Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV) has signed a framework agreement with the Buenos Aires Notaries Association to establish institutional collaboration, technological cooperation, and joint training initiatives. CNV President Roberto E. Silva signed on behalf of the regulatory body, while the notaries association was represented by President María Magdalena Tato, Secretary María Valeria Seibane, and Treasurer Pablo Hernán De Santis.
- Focus Areas: Document digitalization, digital transformation, electronic document management, and archive preservation
- Key Participants from CNV: Vice President Sonia Salvatierra and Risk Management Coordinator Mónica Bertizzolo
- Training Components: CNV-led capacity building on financial regulation and financial literacy programs
The partnership will focus on developing, evaluating, and implementing joint projects related to document digitalization, digital transformation, and electronic documentation management. The agreement also emphasizes the exchange of technical knowledge between the two institutions, positioning both organizations to strengthen their operational capabilities in the digital era.
“We celebrate this agreement that allows us to strengthen joint work with the Notaries Association and advance on a common agenda of collaboration, training, and technological cooperation. This also drives financial education, which is a key tool to bring the capital markets closer to society, provide more information, and promote responsible investment decisions.”
The CNV initiative emphasizes financial literacy as a strategic priority for expanding participation of new investors in Argentina’s capital markets. Through this collaboration, the regulatory body aims to provide specialized training on its regulatory mandate while promoting broader financial awareness across the notaries sector, which plays a critical role in documenting securities transactions and property transfers linked to capital markets activity.
