FOREX.com, operated by StoneX Securities Co., Ltd., launched overnight trading for Japan Stock CFDs and Japan Stock CFD Knock-Out Options on August 24, 2026, marking the first such offering in Japan. The service extends trading hours until 5:00 a.m. JST, allowing investors to respond to corporate disclosures and overseas market movements outside regular Japanese equity market hours.

  • Trading Hours: 17:25 until 5:00 a.m. JST
  • Commission Structure: Zero commission on Japan Stock CFDs; spreads, financing costs, and dividend adjustments apply
  • Instruments Covered: 25 selected Japanese equities including Sony Group, Toyota Motor, Nintendo, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, and SoftBank Group
  • Risk Management: Knock-Out Options incorporate pre-set levels that automatically close positions; maximum loss limited to option premium paid

Our focus is on giving clients greater flexibility to navigate markets on their terms. By extending trading hours for selected Japan Stock CFDs and Knock-Out Options, we are responding directly to the reality that market-moving information does not stop when the domestic equity market closes.

The dual product launch provides investors with two distinct approaches to managing exposure. Japan Stock CFDs allow positions on price movements without owning underlying shares, while the Knock-Out Options structure offers predetermined maximum loss limits. Both products reference Japanese equities as underlying assets. StoneX Securities conducted research across seven major domestic FX/CFD providers and online securities firms, determining the offering represents a first-to-market service in Japan.

StoneX Group Inc., a NASDAQ-listed Fortune 50 company headquartered in New York, operates FOREX.com across 180 countries. The group serves over 80,000 commercial, institutional, and payments clients alongside more than 260,000 retail accounts through offices on six continents. StoneX Securities operates as a wholly owned subsidiary registered with Japan’s Financial Services Agency.
