Mitrade EU Ltd has appointed Timur Konsky as Chief Executive Officer to lead the platform’s European retail expansion, capitalizing on significant momentum across the broader group. The appointment comes as Mitrade Group reported a 148.4% increase in total lots traded during the first seven months of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, alongside active trading client growth exceeding 50% year-over-year.
- Trading Volume Growth: 148.4% increase in lots traded (Jan-July 2026 vs 2025)
- Active Client Growth: More than 50% increase
- Global Trader Base: 7M+ traders accessing 1,000+ CFDs
- Regulatory Oversight: CySEC-authorised investment firm (CIF438/23)
Konsky brings over two decades of fintech experience across European markets, with expertise in product development, marketing, and leadership roles within regulated brokerages. His appointment follows intensifying regulatory scrutiny of CFD distribution practices. CySEC is conducting a 2026 common supervisory action examining conflicts of interest, staff remuneration, and investment product distribution across digital platforms.
Europe may share a regulatory framework, but it is not a single retail market. Each country has its own market dynamics, trading habits, product preferences and expectations around pricing, support and credibility.
Konsky emphasized that effective trader focus requires maintaining direct feedback loops between clients and product teams, adapting strategies market-by-market. He underscored the importance of transparent risk communication, noting that 80% of retail investor accounts lose money trading CFDs with the provider. Mitrade EU will prioritise Germany initially as it expands across Europe, using client feedback from onboarding, cost information, platform functionality, and support services to guide product decisions.
Mitrade operates through multiple regulated entities, including Mitrade EU Limited (CySEC), with additional authorizations from ASIC, CIMA, FSCA, FSC, and CMA. The platform offers CFDs on indices, forex, commodities, shares, and ETFs with variable leverage and competitive spreads accessible across multiple devices.
