Allianz Global Investors has launched four actively managed exchange-traded funds on SIX Swiss Exchange, expanding the platform’s ETF issuer base to 37 and marking the asset manager’s entry into the active ETF market. The new Allianz Smart Active ETF range provides systematic investment strategies covering global, European, and US equity markets, combining active management with the liquidity and intraday tradability of ETF structures.
- Products Launched: Three equity strategies with four ETFs total, one strategy listed in two trading currencies
- Coverage: Global, European, and US equity markets
- Market Maker: Société Générale
- Total SIX ETF Issuers: 37 following the launch
The launch reflects growing momentum in actively managed ETFs on SIX. Data from the exchange shows actively managed ETF turnover reached 239.6 million CHF in June 2026, representing a 71.63% month-on-month increase. Despite seasonal volatility, the actively managed segment has demonstrated consistent strength, with July 2026 turnover at 182.3 million CHF.
Alexandra Auer, Head of Distribution EMEA at Allianz Global Investors, stated the launch represents an important step in making the firm’s investment capabilities available to clients through a familiar exchange-traded format. SIX emphasized that the listing process provides regulated market access, Swiss investor reach, and efficient liquidity conditions needed to support growth in listed investment products.
