NinjaTrader made CME Group Single Stock Futures live on its platform July 27, 2026, enabling retail traders to gain direct exposure to major U.S. companies including Nvidia, Tesla, Apple and Amazon. The phased rollout spans 54 stocks from the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and Russell 1000, offering traders a capital-efficient alternative to traditional stock purchases without the complexity of options trading.

  • Initial Coverage: 54 top U.S. companies across S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Russell 1000
  • Key Features: Near 24-hour trading, centrally cleared, financially settled contracts
  • Launch Date: July 27, 2026
  • Target Users: Active futures, options, and equity traders

Single Stock futures eliminate several barriers to retail participation in equity trading. Unlike options, they remove the need to manage Greeks, time decay, and complex multi-leg strategies, while also eliminating stock borrowing requirements. The contracts trade nearly 24 hours during the week, allowing traders to respond immediately to earnings announcements, geopolitical events and overnight market movements.

Single Stock futures will open the door to an entirely new generation of active traders by bringing stock and options traders into the futures ecosystem through well-known, market-moving companies that are familiar, accessible and mainstream.

CME Group positions the product as a tool for transparent, regulated equity exposure with the capital efficiency of futures markets. NinjaTrader, which has served nearly 3 million traders since 2003, operates as a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant and NFA member, providing direct market access through its cloud-based platform available on desktop, web and mobile.
