CMC Markets UK PLC reported revenue of £276.9 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2025, down 7.3% from £298.6 million in the prior year, according to accounts filed with Companies House.
The online retail financial services provider recorded profit before tax of £80.9 million, compared with £81.4 million in fiscal 2024, a decrease of 0.6%. Profit after tax fell 3.9% to £63.3 million from £65.9 million the previous year.
Operating profit rose 13.7% to £68.8 million from £60.5 million in the prior period, reflecting lower operating expenses of £217.3 million compared with £220.5 million in fiscal 2024. The company also recorded reduced impairment charges on intangible assets of £459,000 versus £12.3 million the previous year.
Total revenue including interest income on own funds of £13.9 million and income on client funds of £1.9 million reached £292.7 million, down from £308.1 million in fiscal 2024.
Net assets declined to £443.4 million from £480.9 million at the prior year end. The company had 539 directors and employees on average during the year, down from 622 in fiscal 2024.
