ACI Worldwide and Circle Internet Group announced a collaboration on October 27, 2026, to integrate stablecoin settlement capabilities into existing banking and payments infrastructure across Latin America. The partnership will initially deploy in Colombia, leveraging ACI Connetic, a cloud-native payments orchestration platform, alongside Circle’s USDC infrastructure to demonstrate how financial institutions can adopt digital asset settlement without overhauling legacy systems.

    • Primary Focus: Colombia, where ACI Worldwide operates the central infrastructure for Bre-B, the country’s interoperable instant payments ecosystem
    • Platform: ACI Connetic unifies traditional payments, digital assets, and card payments on a single cloud-native interface
    • Objective: Enable financial institutions to evaluate stablecoin settlement models alongside existing payment rails and treasury operations

The initiative reflects a market shift from theoretical discussions about stablecoins toward practical deployment. Financial institutions increasingly need guidance on integrating regulated stablecoins into established workflows, governance frameworks, and settlement processes. ACI Connetic allows banks to evaluate new settlement models within familiar operating environments, combining traditional payment infrastructure with emerging digital asset capabilities on a unified platform.

The conversation around stablecoins is moving from possibility to practicality. Financial institutions want to understand how digital asset settlement can fit into the infrastructure and operating models they already trust. Through ACI Connetic, we’re demonstrating a practical approach to integrating regulated stablecoins into existing payment workflows.

    – Craig Ramsey, Global Head of Account-to-Account Payments, ACI Worldwide

Financial institutions across Latin America are increasingly looking at how stablecoins can support the evolution of payments and settlement within the infrastructure they already use. By working with ACI Worldwide, we’re creating a practical path for institutions to explore how USDC can fit into established payment environments, helping bridge traditional financial infrastructure with the growing digital economy.

    – Kash Razzaghi, Chief Commercial Officer, Circle

While the collaboration focuses on USDC and Circle’s infrastructure, ACI Connetic is designed to support an evolving ecosystem of payment networks and digital asset providers. This architecture allows financial institutions to test multiple settlement models through a single orchestration platform, positioning the solution as infrastructure-agnostic for future payment evolution.
